Beautiful & touching. I have many connections in NZ, and know the whole country is suffering . Thanks to the Wat Opotians for extending this healing hand.

Amazing, if only the rest of the world were as humble as you

Thank you so much for doing this for us Wayne and the symbolic meaning of the bricks and the candles as lights for the victims, many still buried under the rubble and bricks from the historic buildings. Tomorrow we bury a friend, Jaimie, only 22 years old, the first of many that will be buried in the weeks and months ahead.
Christchurch is shaken up by it core and the heart of the city looks like a bomb has hit it.
Many have lost their homes, jobs and neighbourhoods, like ourselves.
But the human spirit is strong and we will rise up out of this.
Many blessings and love from Marijke and the people of Christchurch.

Thanks, Wayne, I'm sorry Wat Opot lost friends in the earthquake. I will keep you and them in my prayers.

Thank you Wat Opot... You are all amazing in our time of need to feel connected after the violent shake we had here in Christchurch NZ.... We people from Christchurch are still strongly in shock..........and will be for weeks to come yet........ Most of us that are affiliated to Wat Opot are safe and alive but many of us are now finding out about people we know who have lost family and friends to this disaster. But as a bigger community of the City of Christchurch, I think the feeling is that we have all lost many of our own. The trauma has hit those who have lost someone close...but we have more mental trauma to come as we try to comprehend just what has gone on here.
Thank you again for such a heart filled thing to perform such a service for us and our city of Christchurch.... much love and respect back to you all at Wat Opot
